Health and Safety

At CMS Electrical LTD, we are fully committed to ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of our employees, clients, subcontractors, and all others affected by our operations. We operate in full compliance with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, along with all relevant UK health and safety legislation, approved codes of practice (ACoPs), and guidance.

Health and safety are not just regulatory requirements for us — they are embedded into our culture. We strive to exceed industry standards through rigorous planning, continuous training, and proactive risk management.

Our Commitment Includes:

Full Legal Compliance:
We comply with all applicable UK laws and regulations. We ensure all works are carried out in accordance with statutory obligations.

Risk Management:
We carry out detailed Risk Assessments (RAs) and produce tailored Method Statements (RAMS) for every project. These documents are regularly reviewed and updated to reflect site-specific conditions.

Training & Competence:
All CMS Electrical staff are trained to the highest standards, with regular updates on health and safety best practices. Our operatives hold appropriate qualifications such as ECS cards and IPAF/PASMA where applicable.

Safe Systems of Work:
We implement and maintain safe systems of work on all our sites. Toolbox talks and regular safety briefings are conducted to reinforce best practice and highlight site-specific hazards.

Accident Prevention & Reporting:
We maintain a strong safety record, with accident rates well below industry averages. Any incidents or near misses are thoroughly investigated in accordance with RIDDOR, and corrective measures are implemented without delay.

Supply Chain Engagement:
We expect the same high standards from all subcontractors and suppliers. All third-party personnel must comply with our health and safety procedures and provide evidence of their own H&S policies where required.

Ongoing Monitoring & Continuous Improvement:
Our Health and Safety performance is continually monitored and reviewed. We conduct internal audits and site inspections, and we use feedback and data to identify opportunities for improvement.

Safety is Everyone’s Responsibility.
At CMS Electrical LTD, we foster a culture where every individual is empowered and encouraged to take ownership of health and safety. Together, we ensure a safer working environment — today and into the future.
